About Me

Me and my buddy Volkan, at Top of The Hub, Boston MA

I figured it was necessary to have an about me section, so you can get to know the man behind the camera and recipes. =)

My parents are from Istanbul, Turkey, and I lived there until middle school. We moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, when my father got a job transfer while he was working at British Airways. I finished High School in Johannesburg, and moved to Wellesley, MA for college. I recently graduated Babson College in May 2008, and worked at an IT consulting company named Clarkston Consulting for 1 year. My main role was pharmaceutical validation (making sure pharmaceutical companies have computer systems ready for an FDA inspection), but unfortunately like many others, I was laid off around July 2009. I got a job at Canon Business Solutions where I was a sales representative for 1 year. I’m now working for a sales training company in Framingham called RAIN Group. I’ve been there for 3 years.

Delicious rasberry chocolate velvet cake I had in Luxembourg. They have the best pastries in the world!

The most amazing breakfast ever. I had this in Brussels Belgium. Fresh Parmesan, parma ham, melon, sun-dried tomato & basil pesto, ricotta cheese and FRESH squeezed orange juice. Not minute maid.

I also try to focus on other hobbies of mine, as I have all this time on my hands. I love to play guitar, especially Jazz guitar. I’m trying to learn, but it definitely is a challenge. Thank you for reading about me, and I hope you enjoy my blog. Thanks!
